Is such a thing in place? I've been told that this is the case now.

Anyone know, and the reasons behind it?

Not as such, paz. There is a mod bot that snares new members' posts (to await moderator validation) if they contain ads or links, or if they're from suspect ip addresses.

Just wondered, I was talking to someone who must have got snagged in it. I know they do it on some other trading forums, thought it might have been adopted here to.

To be honest though, pre-moderation of existing members' comments might be useful in some cases :).

If the site wanted quality content then no moderation at all would probably be better. Things wont improve until users get some control over what they post.

Until that happens, its lulz as usual (which has been great recently )

I don't know, it's good really that some of the stuff that I post is moderated. If it wasn't, I'd probably be facing about 16 trials and have at least half a dozen contracts out on me.

Yeah, that was me. It's all good. Although it's a bit ironical as I just saw a post for an application for a bank job.

I've seen systems where the first 10 posts or so are moderated by hand and what-not; but imagine doing that for (X) amount of members each day.
