Dax 30 Historical Charts

Hi all,

I am new to backtesting and forward testing charting data and have found very good and consistent gains on a simple enough strategy when trading the Dax 30 indices(an intraday strategy which involves entering the market once a day on the hour when/if conditions suit). I use IG Index and CMC Markets as my brokers and have been analysing their 1 hour charts in order to get the data I require for testing.

However, as their 1 hour charts only go back 3-4 months I have only managed to find 6 months worth of data and, given that the results are really good, would like to backtest a bit further in order to see if the conditions are consistent over a 12 month+ period.

Does anybody know where I can find 1 hour Dax 30 charts(not data) on either a free(preferred) or paid basis that go back over 6 months?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, and I will share my trading strategy and progress on here once I start to trade this system.

Try metatrader (CFD)

dax is on the fxcm demo (ger30) and goes back to march 2010. be aware that it wont look the same as an ig chart as fxcm don't quote dax over night, so they'll look choppy in comparison because of gapping. i suspect you'll do better sticking with ig charts and running with what you have, but it'll be worth a look nonetheless imo.
