Indices Charts

Hi all,

I am new to this site and this is my first post. It seems like a brilliant site for information and advice, etc but I am confused about something. All I want to know is where I can find historical charts so I can test some theories. Ideally I want to start by looking at indices(DAX, FTSE, etc) where I can go back maybe a year or so with timegaps of say 5 or 10 minutes or possible. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Maudy,

I'm not sure where you might find 5-10 minute charts that go back that far but a good free charting website that we have told our new traders to have a look at is:

http://www.forexpros.com/charts/real-time-futures-charts

the data is delayed but it gives you all the basic features of the more expensive charting software.
