The Best place to Exit an outright directional trade

Is when the price isn't moving as much as it has been.

More flowing wine and another little irritating question if I might. If after you exit the position on consolidation, how can you possibly know that continued expansion in the direction of the original position, won't occur?

Of course, more wine and more endless nights of sleep.

The Best place to exit an outright directional trade...

...is when the trade has enough positive net gain to meet the requirements of the reason why the trade was made in the first place. Exiting a position at any other time, is neither best nor wise, unless the trader has absolute knowledge that the positive net gain needed to meet the requirements for being in the trade have no chance of coming to fruition.

There's a difference between trading experience and trading with experience.

As always, I'm just whistling in the dark. :innocent:
