Ok so i thought it would be good if we were all allowed to choose 3 shares that we are comfortable with,
And whoever gets the 5% increase 1st wins :)

So its pretty simple and would be interesting to see who gets it right and in what time frame
- Vendors are more than welcome (to show their skills) :cheesy:

Here's my 3, i'll stick to stuff that im familiar with:

Bank Of Ireland: SP €0.236 target €0.247
Royal Bank Of Scotland: SP £0.417 target £0.437
Lloyds Banking Group: SP £0.535 target £0.561

The 5% has to be 1 of the 3 and not combined,

If you miss this and start a day late or whatever its no probs will be taken in to account.

If there is one sector i have been consistently profitable with its the banking sector,
As far as everything else goes, im learning as i go...

And tbh if i do get it wrong its no biggie, not like FBI will come smashing through my windows on ropes to arrest me

However, i won't get it wrong

You're going about this all wrong imo. If you want to do 5% fast those aren't the shares for it. I can think of shares which move multiples of that in a week.

Sirius Minerals for me. Current price 11p . . .

My dad has some of them, reckons they're going to do well despite their falls. They're a good choice. He also has San Leon Energy. Put me down for that as you've got sirius.

San Leon Energy (closed at 31.5p today)

I don't really need to put anything else. I like the look of Solo Oil for a longer term punt too, if only I had some spare cash.

yeah but why?

otherwise its just guessing ffs

I have been following all banks on the LSE for a couple of years so feel familiar with them, and if you have a look at the charts you will see that they are in a slight dip by normal standards, RBS are strong they would of been better at 39.7p last thursday but i still believe they are a good buy, BKIR are up and down like a yoyo and despite people telling me to stay away i have found great, LLOY had to put 3.2 billion aside last week after losing a court case on mis-sold loan PPI, so have declared the worst profits in ages, however this is built in to the SP and the big drop happened last week,

All 3 are a good buy at the min imo

Hey, i don't claim to be the most knowledgeable here Masq but i have seen all 3 move 5%'s in small timeframes, i had 25% from BKIR in a week once

Ok, watch San Leon and Solo tomorrow. I'm usually good at getting the opposite direction to what happens, but if I happen to be right for once you might see them go up 5% or more at some point in the day.

I'm long VOCS right now, I'm not going to buy something specifically for the board - it's @ 27.88 now.

I have no opinion on whether it will go up 5% in the short term but I thought I'd throw my hat in the ring as it's not a particularly big move.

c'mon, this is a willy waving contest. Make it sound like you're putting a bit more effort into it, this is your time to shine (so to speak.)

You don't have to buy for this thread

Well - I can hardly mention my mate that works there & the nature of the business development stuff he's working on, can I?

Still - I could post a pic of my real willy.
