If you meet the requirements to trade the US stock, you can QIHU, the lead underwriter
is UBS and they will be allocated a big percentage of the IPO shares in addition to the fees to take the company to public. If the company is not a hot one, it is their duty to help the company to sell the shares.

If you open a trading account with a Citicorp broker, you still have little chance to get the shares of QIHU if it is hot IPO and the brokers know it way before the trading day. The invesment normally allocate their shares to hot brokers, and these hot brokers will do their favorite clients, those who trade frquently or have good size accounts.

My former boss has one account with a hot broker, this broker would not take a new account with under $1 million dollar size. He is the one that bought good IPO for the man.

You can search on Google for IPO, allocation to get an understanding of the IPO and allotment process.

This is the best I could share with you
