Does anyone know anything about these people? I tried a free trial with their on-line info service now they are making it very difficult to pull out as they required my CC details up front. I'm concerned that they will now charge my card against my wishes.
Most info they provide, for a cost, is available for free in the 'net. That is why I wanna be outta there.

They probably will charge your card. You should speak to the bank immediately and make sure they block it. The newsletter is run by Frank Porter Stansberry, he has been heavily fined in the past for fraudulent activities related to penny stock newsletters. I hope you didnt take any of the trades he recommended. These guys will bleed you dry if you let them.

It is rather amazing that after that judgement in 2003 he his still operating under similar circumstances.

"Do let your Credit Card company know about this possible transaction and they will cover any debits made. Make sure you use Credit Card not Debit Card as Credit Card transactions have more protection."

The reason we do not allow Debit cards to be used online, is because our subscriptions are on an automatic renewal. When you sign up for a subscription, it is stated to be on an automatic renewal; unless the renewal is canceled. We do not want people to receive overdraft charges for the auto-renewal, which is why we require a phone call to confirm there is an automatic renewal on the debit card.

Any transaction on a credit card is due to a subscription sign-up online or over the phone. There is no way of getting credit card information from a subscriber, unless they subscribe. They must agree to term and conditions before signing up as well.

We also have trial periods on all of our subscriptions. These trial periods allow one to look over the subscription, and receive a refund if they are not satisfied.

For any questions about Stansberry and Associates, please do not hesitate to call customer service. We are on standby to assist with questions, including credit card/ debit card inquires. That number is 1-888-261-2693. We are open 9-5 EST.

You'll need to sell a few newsletters to cover this fine.

Porter Stansberry investment scam in SEC fraud action

Porter Stansberry is a complete and utter Douche.

Period.

His lies and half-truths have been exposed on plenty of occasions. Notably by Peter Schiff.
