Remember thjat optiosn are multi-dimensional, unlike futures which are 1-D, i.e if you are simply speculating on price direction you will have to have a time window to hit the target or your theta will eat you alive.
Read a book by Natenberg called "Option volatility and Pricing" before you start as you will lose a lot of acsh fast if you don't know what you're doing.
