Buyng Options

Hi, just after a quick bit of help,

I want to buy a call option on a FTSE 250 stock in the next couple of days, firstly can some one please recommend me a company where i can do this as i current use etrade for my every now and then share dealing, however they only provide options on US equities??

And also what do you think the longest longest expiration date is i can get (i,e, 3 months, 6 months) i know that depending on the date the price charged will change, but id like a 6 month contract ior later if poss??

Before you buy any options do you understand what volatility is re options and how it effects an option's price.

If you don't then DON'T EVER LOOK TO TRADE OPTIONS - EVER!

Pretty sure that there aren't any options on this index. Futures are about a liquid as concrete.

My machine shows calls and puts, but no prices, presumably because they are closed. I will check tomorrow.

Oh,sorry, just re-read your question; No, there aren't options on FTSE250 stocks.

You would have to do CFD or Spread bet.
