Hi all, Was wondering if anyone trades any aussie futures - other than the SPI?

If so, what are the best instruments to trade? 90 Day bank bills? 10 yr govt bonds?

Would love to hear about things like liquidity, best time to trade etc

Alternatively, maybe Nikkei / Hang Seng is better to trade for the asian timezones

All feedback appreciated:D

There is no liquidity in Aus outside of SPI (and its a bit light on the liquidity side).

HSI is still in psycho mode but if you're into an unpredictable order book you might enjoy it for the thrill. It has a mini MHI which has got better volume since HSI went psycho last August.

Consider SGXNK, N225, N225m (all Nikkei size variants), STW (taiwan on SGX which has more range than Nikkei, $10 per point and good liquidity), KOSPI (a larger futures contract in Korea with good liquidity and quite well behaved), KOSPI Options (the OTM & DOTM are the largest options market in the world).

SPI opens first, then Nikkei, the KOSPI and STW, and they all close within an hour of SPIs close. SPI has a quiet lunch hour and Nikkei shuts down for 90 mins at lunch. Trade them when the setup is there really.
