Maybe I don't understand your question - are you trying to find out which economic data releases affect these markets, at around 13:00 GMT?... I guess the main ones are ECB rate announcements at 12:45 and various US releases at 13:30 - non-farms payrolls, hourly earnings, initial jobless claims, sales figures, price indexes. Most of the EU data comes out earlier.

I'm not sure. A surprisingly hawkish / dovish press conference by Trichet will move the DAX as much as a massively unexpected non-farms number. And I have the vague impression that IFO, ZEW, CPI, PPI etc can have similar effects to the US data. How different is the DAX volatility in the morning (when the EU data comes out) to that in the afternoon (when it follows the US markets)? - maybe not too different. But some of the morning volatility seems to be due to correcting or continuing an overnight move caused by the US markets. On the other hand, some of the afternoon volatility is probably due to the DAX waiting for US support before reacting strongly to EU data that came out in the morning. There are plenty more experienced DAX traders on this site than myself who no doubt know more about this. How does the answer to this affect the way you would trade it though?
