guaranteed stop losses???

anybody know any good brokers who offer this facility and what they charge? anywhere i could compare different brokers and stops?

im doing some research and need to compile a report

to my knowledge no broker offers a guaranteed stop loss unless you are trading via spreadbetting,
also certainly in ecbot futures a stop loss is not applicable or executable out of hours sessions
IB offers a stop limit order which allows you to place a stop order out of hours
but this is no guarantee hope that helps

Guaranteed stop losses are nothing more than a marketing gimmick for those new to spread betting.

My advice is to stay well clear of them because they're very expensive to use.

I'm interested in learning more about online trading. The arcades have drastically reduced their recruiting so this might be an option instead. I was wondering what the best way to trade is? I have read some good things about futures spreads.

Also what do people think of FXCM and similar ventures? I would be very willing to start but would not know what to trade and for how long. So what is generally the best way to trade online for a beginner and would adequate help be provided?

never heard of guaranteed stops anywhere in futures, outside of spread betting.

Surely thats the point of direct access - you access the underlying market whether thats favourable or unfavourable for you.

Of course it is A as you yourself well know. BUT the SB firms can scare new clients into thinking that losses 'can get out of control' etc so pushing them towards the far more lucrative (for them) guaranteed stops.

I say if you don't like the risks associated with margined products then don't use them.
