Hello

I'm a beginner in the trading of options. Still not sure how exactly it works. But i heard it was a good place to start if you're new. So that's what i want to. But... I have simply no idea on how to determine which expiration date to choose and simply how to buy a call or put contract and all the other things. Broker aswell. So if there's anybody that would be kind to share some tips, strategies, etc. with me, i would be very happy.

Thanks!

Regards
Soren

I believe you have been misled. Options is definitely not a good place to start if you are new. There is a tonne of material you should understand before you start trading options.

I would recommend Natenberg's book on option pricing and volatility.

I don't necessarily agree that you can't or shouldn't start with Options. While I do agree that you need to have a basic understanding of how the markets work.. I am new to trading as well and I found (and use) an excellent options training program that covers the basics of trading Options and everything from commonly used to more advanced strategies. Since I'm new to this forum I don't want to get blacklisted so I won't post a link, but if you're interested email me and I'll let you know where I got it.
Cheers..
