Olivia "Liv" Boeree, 25, whose love of heavy metal music has earned her the nickname the Iron Maiden, has become only the third woman ever to win a European Poker Tour competition.

She is 1,250,000 euros (£1,087,411) richer after beating a field of 1,240 players from more than 40 countries at the event, held in San Remo in northern Italy
