Quite funny really to listen to the debate over cannabis, exctasy etc. and crime. For 50 years the politicians have been out=doing each other on one daft strategy after another. Driven by vote seeking, attention grabbing and mealy mouthed pinko social agenda blah blah blah same old hot air and no appreciable results.


My solution :-

cold baths and a lot of flogging

problem solved in next to no time - you soppy politicos
 
Well alright just as a sop to hi-tech and certain conventions

then for flogging substitute - wire 'em up and switch on the current. Daily doses of this benign treatment should be enough or UP the CURRENT !!

Just claw back their ill-gotten gains from the long suffering tax payers imho

Might take something of an expert to determine whether they are hopping about and screaming with the pain or dancing :cheesy:

My left wing liberal friend has pointed out I am being unfair to criminals as they have feelings - to which I say, they shoulda thought of that in the first place and not done the crime !! But no matter, with this treatment they will be like new men OR else

You can't just get rid of such a huge industry/trade, drugs are a massive 'black economy' in thier own right. If we totally rid the world of drugs there would be literally millions of people with nothing to do. We could actually create a worse problem.

What is the point of having consultants and advisors if they are going to steal the show...

You contribute your well informed opinion and you go and sit in the corner.

I think the scientists have gotten beyond them selves.

If this was the case scientists would be running the country and politicians doing as they advise.

Case of horse before the cart - and this horse doesn't know it's a mule... :devilish:

The experts must feel like giving the politicians really stupid advice and watch with glee as they get unstuck.
The trouble with democracy is that the mediocre and the self serving get power they don't know how to use. Bring on qualifications for politicians to weed out the useless ones.

Always the case but scientists and technicians who are true to their cause don't live under budget and umpteen other constraints.

I always thought the combined MMR jab was a lethal dangerous drug to give to 12 month old babies. However, cost of giving it 3 x times over a 3 month period far outweighs cost of giving it once.

In Japan and USA there are loads of autism groups who swear on the effects of MMR jab. I would join that list with 1000% support.

Talk about the Government looking after its citizens... Absolute BS!

As for Mr Blair would he deny or confirm whether he put his children through the same vacination program? I doubt it.


At a personal level after the first injection that did funny strange things to our boy - we paid privately to have subsequent boosters to be given one at a time - at a certain Harley St clinic at great cost. :eek:. As well as taking the day off had to endure parking fines and congestion charging. :devilish::mad::(:devilish::mad::(

I would in all honesty like to lynch some politicians...

I was playing devils advocate earlier on... :cheesy:

We aren't being given the full details that other countries are.
Its not even in the news.

Quite right, there are herds of useless b*stards out there, with no prospects, keep them all drugged up and off the streets. The British Isles are surrounded by hundreds of small islands, we could use these as holding areas, just as long as the Puffins don't mind putting up with a load of malingering swines. Air drop food and drug supplies, no need to police the islands, let them get on with it. Simples.

:LOL: The MMR vaccine scare was actually caused by a bit of an anecdote from someone - NOT based on clinical findings. Sounds a bit like someone reading a novel about witchcraft to the Pope, which subsequently led to the Inquisition!! Vioxx is another decent example - I know people who would sign any form you put in front of them if it would allow them to take Vioxx again.

You are making an assumption here labelling it a SCARE? People who have been affected by autism and MMR are likely to differ with your opionion.

Diet plays a big part in Autism and response of the child. In fact every other person too.

So leakage from the gut to the brain of various chemicals seems absolutely a plausible connection which should be thoroughly investigated imo.

How many people have received various injections and subsequently have had a reaction to the vacination???


Now consider that injection MULTIPLIED by 3 X and considering the fact the human body does not gain immunity until 6 months and even then it is a gradual process.

To give such a large dose to a 12 month old baby is absolutely ridiculous.

Once again I perceived it as fact and repute anything the government has pushed out. They have sacked other advisers and doctors who have not pulled the government line on this.
 
In general baby boys are more affected than baby girls.

If one has a happy baby with no intollerance than the single MMR jab is fine.


If you are considering MMR jab and your baby has intollerances to any food stuffs please avoid the single MMR jab.
 
Sorry to hear your kiddy was unwell Atilla - hopefully will pull through.

If the bottom line is for the politicians to make better decisions, then how about the newbies to Parliament get 1 vote and others get 2 for second termers etc. They, having gained some knowledge and stood the test of time ??

Thank you for your kind words and thought Pat.

With respect to drugs, we were discussing it at lunch and my friends said they couldn't undertand how ecstasy or cannabis be less dangerous???

Cannabis causes paranoia and one of them said his friend was in a bad way with panic and anxiety attacks. Ecstasy can have damaging effects too if used in excess as with all drugs.

Also, with respect to stats a much higher population uses alcohol and tobacco thus more likely to see higher stats. If same number use cannabis and ecstasy on such regular basis - impact likely to be considerably higher.

I don't know who to believe but I don't trust the politicians that's for certain.

I am not making a single assumption labelling MMR a scare. There is not one single piece of evidence in the peer-reviewed literature linking autism to vaccines, despite lots of studies on the matter. The scientist who performed the work in question was merely hypothesising something. He has retracted most of the claims he made.

'Leakage of chemicals from the gut to the brain'...... interesting notion.... explain this one for me....
