Do you think the hedge fund circus will leave town now with these tax hikes??

450-500k for a 2 bed in East London .... surely this'll halve when London financial district retreats to nothing because of the hedgies leaving

You are making some very large presumptions and bear in mind that this government will be gone in just over a year when everything will change again. If I were in London and affected by this I would wait until after the result of the General Election.

The property market doesn't revolve around 'hedge funds'. They were just used by lazy journalists to pad out any story. Nothing like a glitzy name to spice up an article.

Like any business, there are only a few right at the top earning millions, the vast majority of people who work for hedge funds will earn under £100k a year.

Hedge funds being in London has a HUUUUUUUUUUUGE impact on property prices in London

that's like saying lazy journalists have invented a wacky theory that house prices in Hollywood are correlated to the film industry
