UK jobless figures hit 2 million

LONDON, England (CNN) -- The number of people unemployed in the United Kingdom has topped 2 million for the first time in more than a decade, Britain's Office for National Statistics said Wednesday.

The unemployment rate is now at 2.03 million, or 6.5 percent, in the three months to January 2009, the government said.

That is an increase of 0.5 percentage points from the previous three-month period and up 1.3 percentage points from a year earlier, the government said.

The new figure marked the worst unemployment levels in Britain since the Labour party came to power under Tony Blair in 1997.

For me, its real simple. You come into contact with someone you like, and there is a window of opportunity for you to make something happen. This may be all of 20 seconds or 20 months, whatever.

If you like what you see and hear, look for a small sign that you are being invited to make an approach.

If you work on your technique some, the odds of creating a successful "opening" for yourself are better than 50/50, assuming you are approaching guys/girls of an equal physical and/or intellectual standing.

As for trading taking up too much time, concentrate on quality versus quantity. Limit yourself to the 1st 2-4 hours of the day to earn your pay. If you **** it up, tough. Youll have to come back sharper tomorrow.

As for online dating.

1)someone may look attractive on a photo, but it hard to be sure if a girl is for you until you've seen her legs, chest and rear.
2) the photo may be several years old, before the plastic surgery.
3) the photo may not even be them.

I know someone whos delved into internet dating somewhat and the above 3 examples have all met him. Her has met someone in the last 6 months through match.com though and it seems to be going well.

Different strokes for different folks i guess.

After i failed at a few dating agencies, i went to a wife swapping party, after throwing in my car keys i got an AA box....
