First post here and thought that some of you may find it interesting what Jim Cramer was saying earlier today.

Bullish investors should turn into shrinking violets as the stock market continues its shocking downward spiral, CNBC’s “Mad Money” host Jim Cramer told Ann Curry on TODAY Monday.

In what Curry called a “dramatic statement,” Cramer emphatically urged any investor who has money they may need in the next five years tied to stocks to pull their dough out.

“I thought about this all weekend,” Cramer told Curry. “I do not want to say these things on TV.

“Whatever money you may need for the next five years, please take it out of the stock market right now, this week. I do not believe that you should risk those assets in the stock market right now.”

So Anthony Bolton is saying now is the time to buy - and Cramer is saying sell the lot...

Cramer is a nutter but I'd back him over Bolton on this one...

Have you heard that the British Treasury is buying English Banking Stocks - someone should tell them about trading against the trend.:whistling

I wouldn't trust anything that freak says.

He speaks with a forked tongue and talks in ranting riddles

I thought I heard that on the news but thought I must have heard wrong. Gordon Brown said he'd do anything... how about resign and take your idiots with you?

The reason i posted it was that if Cramer was saying sell yesterday then a lot of his followers would be selling today, that along with a hundred other reasons then today may have been a good day to short US stocks if you were thinking about it that is, Cramer may be a bit of a nutter but plenty of people listen to him.

Looks like people did listen to him on both sides of the Atlantic. I can't believe RBS is now a penny share! :-0 This short selling ban is working wonders, isn't it?!

Well the short selling ban only goes to show that short sellers are not the problem.

Couldn't agree more - just foolish politicians trying to respond to the media's overblown hype on the subject.

No doubt a lot more will sell after watching Jim Cramer rant. But the market is destined for distruction anyway. Glad I don't own shares.
