Suppose, for a moment, that "The Secret" is being used diligently by millions of (mostly) americans to manifest their worldly desires of wealth and possessions, then.....

how does that explain the global credit crunch?

Is the credit crunch proof that The Secret doesnt work, and its all a scam? (otherwise we would all be rich and happy)

Or The Secret does indeed work, with thousands of sub-prime types wishing desperately for big houses, and lo!,out of the darkness comes real estate agents offering them houses they couldnt realistically afford?

Or does The Secret really exist, but the manifestees failed to consider the Law of Unintended Consequences? (that is, having wished for big houses and cheap money, failed to wish for "keeping" their big houses?)

Wouldn't say it's a scam. Nobody's really making money out of The Secret bar the publishers of a £5 book. It's just a form of positive mental attitude and, frankly, if we didn't have it, we wouldn't be here as long as we have been.

Absolutely The Secret is Bull*****t
have yet to find one guy who has made millions!

anybody on t2w made it???

Perhaps someone forgot to mention that if everyone is rich and happy then by default nobody is poor and miserable.

Thus nobody is rich and happy

God Bless America... (and barclays share's if you have time please :p)

Basically nothing new under the sun, the same stuff that's in THE SECRET is what a hundred years ago the then richest man in the world, Andrew Carnegie, ascribed to as the source of his tremendous success:

"THOUGHTS ARE THINGS"

Think and Grow Rich: The Andrew Carnegie formula for fortune making (Hardcover)
by Napoleon Hill (Author) "TRULY, ""THOUGHTS ARE THINGS,"" and powerful things at that, when they are mixed with definiteness of purpose, persistence, and a burning desire for their translation..."

Napolen Hill not only interviewed Carnegie, but also some one hundred others of the then most successful people in the US, and they pretty much concurred with Carnegies insight, seeing their success as having the same timeless roots.

Good stuff !

Yes, I'm reading T&GR at the mo. The Secret is nothing new but they do state this!
