He had a good season... and now a fantastic one.........I would like him to stay but as a business man he must capitalise on this golden season .........

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Despite all this he'll never be a patch on Cantona.......
Factoid: If Eric had not started giving martial arts lessons we could have won the double 3 years in a row.........!! Without him in 1995 we came a very close second in both.........

It would have been better if Fergi had not been so mouthy.

I don't think Ronaldo is much of a business man. He strikes me as a bit of a clown, judging from some of his on/off field antics.

MUFC can pay him as much as what Real can/will pay him, the kid will never be stuck for cash, and thats b4 u even consider his sponsorship deals.

MUFC are a far more stable club than Real, and are currently more successful in terms of trophys, so he has no footballing reason to leave MUFC.

His only valid reason for wanting to move is a change of lifestyle, scenery, people, climate, a more natural ,language, closer to home etc. He's a 23 y/o kid, whos been in a foreign country for 5 years, so you can't blame him for wanting to explore pastures new.

MUFC will make a very tidy profit also.

I say let the kid do as he pleases, that way everyones a winner.

JT I meant business man in the same way that any bankable sportsperson is a businessperson - whether lewis, rafa, kobe, tiger or becks ..... I wasn't likening them to Stelios, Branson, Sugar, Green or Trump

Yep he is just a lad ........and yes why not a change of scenery, faces..... and as for the climate well that's a no- brainer .........good luck to the lad...... however, "man u to real" moves tend to be a bit of a career killer ......... Becks ?, Ruud..... but there's always the MONEY>>>>>>>>>

In fact he's probably retired (mentally) already......... he does not have to try now .... a few good games for club and country a few good goals ...just enough to keep the critics at bay and he's laughing BigTime........... until some lady cries **** !!!

Man United should take the £ 100 million pounds if that is what is on offer.

Ronaldo is very good but not indispensable.

I believe that £ 100 million in cash would enable United to make their squad significantly stronger than what it is right now with Ronaldo.

Maybe they should pursue Lionel Messi at Barcelona, who I believe is a far superior player to Ronaldo.

And I agree with JTrader, let him go and do as he wants.....I think a move to Real Madrid would be a step down and prove less successful in the long run. But let him go...shame that he is subject to a fairly long term contract isn't it ? Whatever happened to offer and acceptance, binding contracts etc etc etc,,,,,

The Iberian peninsula beckons and I think the lure of that is too strong for Ronaldo, a native Iberian, to resist.

Better weather than Manchester too, altogether a better ambience.

MUFC should take the money & run. Because -
He is 1 injury from 12/18 months on the sidelines, or forced retirment.
A few seasons away from a Bosman free

He can afford to build his own brothel and buy and sell girls much like a football club buys and sells its players.

Somehow I think their contracts would be rather short-term.

Totally agree.

Plus, he is over-rated.

Messi is truly the world's best player followed closely by Joey Barton and Lee Bowyer.

Messi is nowhere near as good as Ronaldo, either as a footballer, and certainly not as an athlete.

Ronaldo = great football player (an i think the word great is widely over-used in sport/the modern world), but he also seems a bit of a prima donna, but at least he has the ability to back it up.

This issue is certainly open to debate but surely you cannot argue with Joey Barton as the World's Number 2.

And Bowyer would kick around 8.5 tons of sh1t ( and I'm talking imperial measures here ) out of them.

That is why he is the World's Number 3.

Where does Johnothan Woodgates fit into your equation then........No 4 on your list of happy slappers...

He would be banged up in jail alongside Barton and his brother.

Bowyer could appropriately make up the quartet.

They could form the backbone of a pretty ugly prison team.
