Does Gordon know about stoplosses?

Just been listening to R4 news on which an old employee of Alistair Cambell was commenting on the Government's apparent magnetism for ongoing bad news. He said his boss's Blairite rule with bad news (seemingly unlike the present encumbents) was always to "get it all out at once and take the maximum hit up front".

That philosophy sounds rather like the discipline needed with stoplosses. Perhaps our Gordie was too busy balancing the books to get any trading experience?
