Just play what you want to play. I'm ungraded. Just can't find enthusiasm for the stuff they want you to play.

Shadow,

I like the first Lacuna Coil track – and Italian. Re contemporary music, the French. (now the )Italians, Germans and Americans put “soul” into their music but the English are ****t. Why? Same with our film industry – still trying to re-write/re-make ‘Saturday night, Sunday morning’.

The best contemporary music station is France Inter (yes, it’s French) on Saturday evenings, 9:00 – 12:00:

france inter > accueil

Belflan,

Not a Dylan fan but I do like “Senor”.

Grant.

If you search on youtube you will find quite a few very young chinese musicians who make my abilities to play the piano look pathetic. I console myself by saying they must have a crap childhood but they are very, very talented children.

It kicks off at 1:36.

After trying to learn this piece for 3 years, I gave up. It is well beyond my level.

Flamenco always sends a shiver down my spine. I can play a bit but wish I'd had lessons.

Wow. It's been removed already.

This is the ultimate classical guitar piece.
