Hi

While man-made global warming may be a hoax, climate change is definately real.

There's been quite a bit of flooding up here in Yorkshire.
The persistent heavy rain for 24 hours or so, was like the rain I have only ever seen before on the West Coast of Scotland, Ireland, and in the Alps  , but it still amazes me how even this large amount of rain CAUSED SO MUCH HAVOC :devilish: .

Sadly it looks like the floods will become regular events, as the climate continues to change.

Consideration of likelihood of flooding should now be key considerations before moving house.

Perhaps the UK drainage system needs to be redeveloped to be able to cope with flood activities.

It amazes me how quickly & how high the flood waters rise, but within 24 hours there are few signs of anything having happened........................Sheffield looked like something out of a disaster movie, and 24 hours later, most thigns are back to normal.

Hi Jtrader

Where abouts do you live?

Speaking to relatives and friends things are far from normal in certain parts of the City and Rovverham.

Regards
Steve

Hi lloyd I'm about 25 miles from Sheffield, and have seen flooding in Sheffield, Wakefield, Barnsley & Rotherham this week.

Hi JTrader

I live at Woodseats which is south Sheffield and I wish I could get north 'cause I work in Leeds. The traffic is chaotic if you are travelling north from Sheffield.
I hope the rain keeps off on Saturday :(

Regards
Steve

Ouch   . The sad thing is it will be the same people living in the same places who will be affected by this year after year, thus probably making their house prices crash.
