PJmarkets702 started this thread For a little hockey action, check out the Bruins -115 tonight. The rested Bruins will host the Sharks, who are touring the northeastern part of the country.

Boston hasn't played since Saturday, when they lost to Buffalo in OT. Some time off was actually needed, as they've been hit with the injury bug. Torey Krug is still recovering from his preseason jaw injury. Tuukka Rask is expected to be in net tonight, after clearing NHL concussion protocol early in the week.

The Bruins are extremely young. We're hearing these extra couple of practice days have helped iron some things out with the group as a whole.

San Jose, like Boston, is hovering around the .500 mark. Conventional wisdom says an experienced and "heavy" Western Conference team will eat up the Baby B's. The Public is all over San Jose, to the tune of 72% according to the Top Market Odds Portal.

PJmarkets702 started this thread There's a piece of high-level syndicate action backing Tulsa +9.5 in the late ESPN2 game. Tulsa's a significant dog on the road at SMU.

The idea will be to limit the amount of time SMU's high-flying offense spends with the ball tonight. QB Ben Hicks has completed 70%+ of his pass attempts in each of his last 3 games.

Expect the visitors to surprise to the upside and be up to the task here. Tulsa's been wildly unpredictable lately. One week they're getting blown out by Tulane, the next they're dominating the best team in the conference (Houston). (BREAKING: Reports out of Oklahoma say practice has been crisp and businesslike these last few days.)

In order to limit Mustang touches, the Golden Hurricane will look to shorten the game by running the ball a ton. A capable Shamari Brooks and a (hopefully) fresh D'Angelo Brewer will lead the way. Some sharps expect this duo to have more success on the ground than the market is currently anticipating.

PJmarkets702 started this thread Monday's NHL board is looking quite interesting.

Consider playing the Canucks +115 as a small home dog. Bench boss Ken Hitchcock and the Dallas Stars will pay a visit to Rogers Arena tonight.

Many "experts" pegged Dallas as a Stanley Cup caliber team before the season began. It's still early, but their 6-5-0 record so far has been underwhelming.

Vancouver, on the other hand, has been a pleasant surprise through the first month of the season. And there are whispers this morning in a few high-level circles that the Canucks are a screaming "BUY" at any plus number tonight.

It might make sense to move quickly on this one, as the number is already beginning to melt at some outlets.

PJmarkets702 started this thread Splash some cold water in your face and bang the Texans -6.5 this morning. Vegas had installed them as a 13 point favorite against the struggling Colts, but that was obviously before the biggest injury news of the week in the NFL.

It's not a shock that Joe Public has completely jumped ship on this Houston bunch after hearing Deshaun Watson will miss the remainder of the season. And the masses still remember how awful Tom Savage looked as the starter in the first game of the year.

But here's what the over-the-top giggling clowns on ESPN won't tell you. Houston was extremely sharp on Friday, having one of their best practices of the year. And Savage has looked surprisingly capable while taking first-team snaps in the wake of the injury news.

It helps that they're playing Indy, a team that has it's own problems. They're amazingly dysfunctional. This week's distractions? Forget about the Andrew Luck news. They spent the last 48 hours going back-and-forth about whether Vontae Davis' absence today is due to an injury or because of violating team rules.

IMPORTANT: Don't forget that the NFL is a team sport. This is a situation where one side is circling the wagons while the other can't even present a unified front to the media. The Texans should be favored by at least 10 points here.

Small Bonus Play: Rams -5.5...please be aware that the best of the number is gone. Our inner circle took them last night at -4. Look for Ben McAdoo to have no clue what's going on. We expect him to be caught on camera at least 4 or 5 times today looking up in the sky with a blank expression on his face that says, "I'm the head coach of the Giants?? What day is it? Where am I??"

Another Small Bonus Play: Bengals +6.5

PJmarkets702 started this thread The rumors are true. We're backing UNLV -3.5 as our free play tonight and some Top Market team members will be at Sam Boyd Stadium to take in the game.

Perennial sharp darling BYU will be the opponent. In fact, most "wiseguys" around town are leaning towards taking the points in this one. But not us. The injury-decimated Cougars are guaranteed their first losing season since 2004 after last week's loss to Fresno.

The Rebels, on the other hand, are on a two game win streak and have their sights set on bowl eligibility. Tonight's game will be broadcast on ESPN2, and there's chatter that the boys are looking forward to this one, filled will some Friday Night Lights **** and vinegar.

Look for the UNLV ground game to be the story. Their running game is currently 13th in the entire country (you read that right) averaging 252 yards per game.

PJmarkets702 started this thread There's just so much going on...

All the major betting sports are now in action, including our favorite and most profitable...college hoops.

Good news!! We've managed to carve out a couple minutes this morning before the office opens up to feed you animals a free pick. It's Xavier +1 when they visit Wisco this evening.

Both teams are 2-0 after some cupcake games with tonight being the first real "test". The Badgers are probably overvalued here, with their only meaningful returning player from last year being center Ethan Happ. The Musketeers are loaded with experienced guys. The talented Trevon Bluiett and the scrappy J.P. Macura will lead the way. (Side Note: we f*cking love the effort Macura brings on a nightly basis. Watch him grind tonight.)

The public will obviously lean towards the brand-name Badgers (LIGHT BULB EMOJI!!!!) while disregarding this Xavier program that the masses still (mistakenly) treat as a mid-major.

One source says, "It's possible that the sheep push Wisky back to -2/2.5 this morning, so waiting to pull the trigger is not the worst proposition. We might book some moneyline over here if they get overexcited and a figure appears at the right price (+115 or better). Most of our models show X should be the hands-down favorite."

PJmarkets702 started this thread Wake up!

Today's free pick is in a game that most of the country doesn't care about. Remember, betting sports should be about making money...not having fun. If you don't start treating sports investing like a business, you're doomed to be a loser forever.

Lay the chalk with Florida -10.5 against UAB today.

Outside of Florida State, the Gators almost never lose non-conference games. In fact, it's been 15 years since they did (Georgia Southern in 2002). But will they cover the double digit point spread today? Our connections say "yes".

One of the boys in Singapore says, "The wannabe sharps are backing the Blazers. But money talks, and this line is what it is. Opened at 10.5 and has stayed there...if serious syndicate money wanted in, they would have gobbled this number up days ago. Instead, we're seeing 11's start to pop up this morning. Gators roll by 20+."
