IMO Ireland is not in the UK .

Please share your opinion ...

very brief History..

Ireland became independent from british colonialism starting in 1922..following the Easter Rising of 1916 (the centenary being celebrated this year http://www.ireland.ie/) with the Irish Free State being formed and 1937 saw a new constitution with our country being called Ireland from then on

during british rule in our country..murders and rapists were released from prison in britian and sent over to torture and kill vulnerable Irish people..these scumbags were called the black and tans..and many were killed by Irishmen who had the courage to defend their people and their property from tyrants and power hungry grabbers

northern Ireland is predominately made up of scottish protestants..who made the short journey across the channel in the 1690´s..again to drive out the vulnerable Irish people from their homes and seize the lands for their own power..there are still a good deal of them living there in what is now called the 6 Counties..or..northern Ireland

when the new Irish government were dealing with the british colonialists after the 1916 rising..as we had finally beaten the brits..we unfortunately had an idiot Irish American descent called eamonn de valera..who sold out the 6 Counties and done a deal with the british colonialists behind the back of other senior people involved in the discussions..such as Michael Collins..but..History portrays de valera as the good guy..when the reality is that de valera sold us out and Collins got blamed for it..de Valera is the reason why Ireland is now 26 counties..and not the full 32 counties..with the 6 in northern Ireland still under british rule..which they do not really want..but have to keep because of the scottish there

a civil war ensued that divided the Irish people for years..and still does to this day with the 2 main political parties..called Fine Fail (so called Republican Party) and Fine Gael (liberal conservative and Christian democrats)..or as most of us call them in Ireland..the Farmers Party!..although there are many Irish farmers that are true republicans and do not support Fine Fail or Fine Gael..and do support the real Republican party called Sinn Fein

Fine Gael were recently in power with the Labour party..and their leader..a muppet called Enda Kenny called a general election a month ago..with 3 weeks to polling date..and I am happy to say the idiot has got his just reward..with the Irish people rejecting Fine Gael and Labour..and Sinn Fein gaining over 50% more seats in the next government..which is now very uncertain as there is no clear majority..Ireland is currently going thru a major shift in the political landscape..which is badly needed

as we all know..the british tried to take over the world..which they are now paying dearly for..and..as always plays out in life..what goes round..eventually..comes round:whistling

germany also screwed us with the 2007 financial debt crisis..and once again..a few idiots (Fine Fail party was in power then) have ruined the lives of many Irish people for decades to come..by putting the Irish people in serious debt..by not allowing the bond holders get burned..which they should have..as they took on the risk for the reward..but again..the germans will also get their just reward..eventually

The Irish have historically been subject to some very rough deals. It always has impressed me how resilient and decent the vast majority of Irish people are.

Well, there's Two Irelands, Northern, which is part of the UK and Southern, or Ireland, which is not.

There's no disagreement about that, but when someone says "Ireland" in a political context, as signalled by the use of "UK", a political, not geographical term, they would be taken to mean the Republic of Ireland. Like when someone says "America", they normally mean the United States of America.

Still failing to see the point of this thread.

yes Eric..most Irish people are decent..honest..hard working..simple minded people..not simple as in stupid..but as in the way we think and act about life..no high notions or trying to be better than anyone else..but as with all nations..a few are corrupt and would rob from their own Mother..but very few I am glad to say

norther Ireland is full of crooks and gansters..hiding under the banner of Republicanism to carry out their underhand operations..but since the peace treaty some years ago..they are now finding it very difficult to operate effectively

Ireland was terrorised and plundered for centuries..mainly by the Vikings (Norway, Sweeden and Denmark), but the major thieves and robbers were the british..as they confiscated most of the good land in Ireland and handed it over to the british generals who retired from the armies

one of the biggest mistakes that was made when the new state was formed..was not taking back all this land..and this was due to the new government having no money to function..so a deal was done with the british to allow the big estates remain in the names of the british gentry..with these estates paying moneies to the new Irish Government for so many years..this is not recorded much in History..but is a well known fact

as an example..not far from where I live..one of these british gentry descendants has an estate that has 36,000 acres of foresty and good agricultural land..so you now know why so many Irish people hated the british for centuries..as the robbed the Irish of their land..which is all that they had to survive and live on

you do not have to be a genius to know that this is very wrong..no matter what country it happens in..but that is what power and money does to people..so you can not blame people for killing others at times..especially if they are the ones that had all of their lands robbed from them

I find your introduction to trading very interesting..and that is why I sent you a friend request..not because of this thread

any thread that reveals the truth of what really happened in History..is a good thread..as..contrary to what most think..there is a lot more to effective trading than just looking at charts and clicking a mouse!

Indeed.
But what I meant was the point of tar's original message.
