I don't know who will be speaking or how this will be handled, but it will be interesting to see what comes out of it.

You might wish to email your MP and try to encourage them to attend the debate.

I hope Michael Meacher speaks. Here he is a couple of years ago, on related matters:

Funny that....when he was in govt, I'm pretty sure he didn't object to spending other peoples money....far from it !

Yawn
They keep making the rich richer, The sods can't spend it fast enough.
Give some to the poor and pensioners because they will certainly spend it, even it is on booze etc.

Years ago the pubs were full of people having fun. What with the austerity and Tories we are too poor to go the pub every night and a lot have closed down.

Chocolate anyone ?

He certainly knows his subject matter. And I'd just like to add.......IT'S AN ABSOLUTE FEKKING DISGRACE THAT THIS DEBATE WAS SO BADLY ATTENDED.

Started reading "The Wolf of Wall Street." He knew how to spend pensioners money. Only read first 60 pages so far -he should be dead with the amount of drugs in his system. And the telephone dealing room where hordes of traders cold called the rich to sell them shares ! The bad language - expletives etc. Different world over the pond
Is half of what he describes true? (rhetorical question)

Yes, half of what he describes is true. Most all of it actually. The 80's/90's were insane on Wall Street. Morons were in he paper all the time for something or other.
