I was reading Market Wizards and noticed that a lot of the traders made their most successful gains at the end of the last recession on the large bull markets that ensued afterwards.
Thinking about this I eagerly dreamt of being able to have the same opportunity in a few years once the current recession ends and we see a large bull rally as investors view the world economy with confidence and joy...until i realised that since 2009 the FTSE (and others) have rallied back to pre-recession highs.
So, what is the situation? Has much of the growth finished? Have the markets decided the recession is no big deal, rolled its eyes at the EU's problems and decided all is fine with the world? Or post recession will we see a rally to new highs, with current levels just a bubble waiting to pop sending us into a 'triple-dip'
