I like single handed sailing, deep sea, and the rougher it is the more I like it.Aegist said:

Then you step ashore and every thing seems to be moving under your feet, funny feeling.
Had my first plane aerobatic flying lesson not to long ago. well just a try out really. loved it. Need to learn to fly first tho,had 1 lesson also.
The missus had a birthday surprise for me last month. Thought it was no 2 flying lesson. well it was'nt. We arrived at the bungee jump at around 9.30 the sunday morning of my birthday. Suffice to say there was no freaking chance of me jumping 80ft or whatever it was into a river gorge on a hangover.
We ended up taking a helicopter flight instead.

millsy500, I did some aero's also, have a friend who has an aerobatic team. I have done quite a bit of flying but not like this, I sat in the front while doing a display for a wedding, blacked out once and felt very much like puking after the neg g stuff. Gives one new respect for the guys who do the displays and the air race.

Tell you what....in some vintage biplanes, because the engines are upright, if you fly them inverted, the engine cuts out for a few seconds until you resume upright level flight....the engine is not the only thng to stop beating, I can tell you.TWI said:
Some French enthusiasts have modified the carburettor by inserting a ball bearing in front of a spring taken out of a ball point pen so this does not happen, but even so, to rely on a spring from a ball point pen for your life is not a funny thought either.

I prefer Russian Yaks . Even though they need to be started with a diving cylinder and have undercarriage issues.. A cousin of mine constructs to order "Twisters" which are German fully aerobatic kit planes that are modelled on a spitfire. Lovely and yours fully constructed and ready to fly for 50k.

You mean airstart, like the arrangement for the Renault PO17 engine upright spec ?TWI said:
50K is not bad for a kite of that sort. There is a company in Australia that makes Spirfire replicas 8 /10 size and several times the cost of this one when you add a GM engine and full feathering prop with 4 blades, etc., provided in kit form for self build, takes 2 years to complete one and there are thousands of rivets to deal with as the construction is aluminium.
