Itunes

Many reasons! I got a new laptop and can only do the ios5 update on my old broken one, bar a lot of effort to change the main computer. I'm fed up with having to sync everything and not knowing whether I'll lose stuff from the phone when it syncs to the laptop. I lost photos because it synced some other rubbish I didn't know it was going to do. All I want is to plug it in as a removable drive and copy paste what I want onto the phone. The upgrade to iTunes 10.5 before being able to do the ios5 update took about an hour on the old laptop, then the actual download got about an hour in, still said 3 hours so I gave up.

yeesh, that sounds like a fiasco! Good luck to you! haha, I dont use Itunes, but now I never will!

Worked it out in the end and it wasn't really that difficult. Bad workman blames his tools and all that!

Thats wierd, maybe you just arent tech savy and you dont know how to work it. because ive had an iphone for 4 years now and all of mine CAN text pictures, CAN record video, had NO connection issues, APPS for mobileTV, ALL ATT services, most apps are pointless and dumb but that doesnt mean you have to download them, and droids have the majority of the same apps, no external memory but all you do is sync it to your itunes and put your data on the computer- then start over agani, too itunes centric (it IS AN IPHONE), you can sync a bluetooth with any phone- i have one for my iphone, the camera does have tons of features and the Iphone 4 and up have flash and double sided camera. The camera does have zoom (double tap the screen),for all color effects frames and brightness setting just download any photography app, again- get an FM radio APP. It sounds like youve got a case of the "i dont know how to use my new phone" Just get to know it- because it has almost everything that your claiming it doesnt :) good luck

iphone sucks. It doesn’t have anything. Its all hype. It can't text pictures, it can't record video, it had connection issues, no mobileTV, no ATT services, most apps are pointless and dumb, no external memory so your stuck with your limit, too itunes centric, low speakerphone, no bluetooth, no flash for its web browser so your stuck with just youtube for videos, and the camera doesn’t have any features or flash. No zoom, no color effects, no frames, no brightness settings, no built in FM radio, too many people have it, it ends up costing more in plans, it doesn’t have a slot for cell phone key chains, it is really hard to text on the digital QWERTY keyboard, no TTY support, kinda dull looking. It’s no good SO overrated.

the problem with mobiles these days is their makers trickle features into their products on purpose. its a brilliant business plan. why release something thats so good that you will struggle to beat aside from small hardware refreshes every year. they do it this way because mugs "the public" run out every year and upgrade to the new model for trivial features that should have been available years ago.
another paradigm shift is the lifespan of technology. makers earn more i their goods dont have a long lifespan.
