Watching people with terrific ideas being forced to give away huge proportions of their prospective businesses to vultures shows the state of entrepreneurialism in this country. If these people tried to raise funds in the US I bet investors would be fighting each other to get on board.

You can't blame the 'Dragons'.For the price of sitting through some dross. They get desperate people pitching to them in the unfamiliar,high-pressure situation of a TV studio. The 'Dragons' then play 'tag' to grind as much equity for the least money they can.(and they probably get an appearance fee for their 'trouble' )!!

There's a business angels network available through the business links. The sums the investees are looking for are modest.I wish some of the ideas had come my way.(The plant waterer and the 2/3D digital measuring device).

Primarily it's entertainment so it has to be produced in a format that is not 'real'. At least it may educate some as to how venture captial works (sort of).

Get me one of those slim line PC's now!...............................NOT.

I don't recall the American guy being interested in investing so far ...... ;)

Is he American or Canadian? He did invest in the digital measuring device.

I don't think they would get on any better in the US, as the product is either worth investing in or it isn't. The compact PC is a bad investment on both sides of the pond.

The voice over guy is unbelievably irritating in the way he repeats absolutely everything anyone says.

(Sidinuk has just posted that he finds my voice-over irritating...but he goes on to say that the show is quite interesting)

Other than that, the show is quite interesting - I think that 'slim line PC' is going to become a cult classic!

(Sidinuk believes the slim line PC might become a cult clas....) Shut-up!

How have the mighty Americans fallen !!

Was it greed or crime or incompetence ?

Once boasting of their greatness and now grovelling in the dirt

Yet another Empire bites the dust - strange how Afghanistan seems to be the rock that tripped at least 3 Empires up and they are barely out of medieval times
:):)
