Yeah yeah yeah I'm boycotting t2w yada yada... but this was too lulzy to pass up and there's only one appropriate site:

The iplayer is here:

BBC iPlayer - Dragons' Den: Series 9: Episode 8

Go to 17:08 in. Watch till they're rejected.

Absolutely hilarious pitch by the property equivilant of Mr. Cohodas (well there's some tard from presumably kleneeze or something, but ignore them). There's even a flying analogy!

I just saw this and thought I had no alternative but to bring it to everyone here's attention.

p.s. delete all my posts you *****

p.p.s. how's howie doing? I have a pretty good idea given the last few months...

Sadly Howie is no longer posting...

It is strange, given how much Howie wanted to help people by teaching them how to trade, that he didn't finally show them he'd figured out how not to do it.

I run a robot looking for the name "Cohodas" (they are all related to me) and I found this thread.

I'm so pleased to be in your thoughts.

To bad I can't play the video as I get a message that it is only available in the UK.

Many of you were right and I was wrong. My strategy did not perform as well as I expected in a higher volatility market. Since my system demanded that I withdraw when the failures exceeded my limits, I did just that. I lost money, but it would have been disastrous had I blindly followed the strategy without a mechanism to detect when the strategy was failing.

Howard, I think the problem was that your strategy was so flawed, based as it was on an incomplete understanding of the instruments you were trading (not as some unkindly suggested, a complete misunderstanding of them) and massively exacerbated by your utter arrogance in fending off any helpful advise as unwarranted criticism, that any mechanism to detect its failure was likely to be just as faulty. Luckily, your broker has systems which prevented you losing more than you have available to lose.

Don’t worry about your inability to view the posted clip. It was all about a loud mouthed and arrogant North American who didn’t know he was his own worst enemy, aggravated those who could most help him and went away with nothing. No idea why the OP thought there was a parallel.

As always, you are entitled to your opinions but you are not entitled to make things up and pretend they are facts. Nearly all of your post in incontrovertibly provable as false. Too bad you cant make your points without trash as a premise. Some of your points are worth listening to.

Go ahead and incontrovertibly prove the two premises of my post are not fact.

1. An incomplete understanding of the instruments you were trading.

2. Utter arrogance.

You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink. I led you and you ignored it. End of story.

Try providing advice without diminishing others. It would improve the tenor of the forum.

Don't try your old trick of misdirection Howard, it was always amateur at best.

If you can't do so, they remain as fact.

That you would initially attempt to avoid even trying to do so, was expected.

Yes - that's the sort of thing a normal, rational, non-psychotic, functioning paranoid schizophrenic would do.

Anyway - it's a blessing that you lost money on this when you did. Had you taught a bunch of people this 'strategy' and they'd lost their money, that would have been a real shame.

Every cloud has a silver lining, Howard. Just look at all the lives you've not ruined!

Someone mind shedding some light on the history here? What was the strategy involved? or is there a thread i can read?

It wasn't so much a thread as the same post, over, and over, and over again.

Or perhaps it just seemed that way...

Check out the search function pento.

An alternate explanation is that I can increase my own social network by finding other Cohodas's. Ever hear of Facebook or other social network efforts? Having a unique name gives me a unique opportunity to discover extended family.

Wrong about why I have a Cohodas robot. Wrong about my student's performance. Pretty much wrong about everything you say about me. Your batting average is pretty low regarding me. But that has never bothered you. Makes one wonder about your trading and your vendor enterprise.

I'm pretty much bored with this, so you are likely to have the last truth-challenged word.

As opposed to your "unique" nearly 7,700 posts. Things that make you say hmmm.

Howard, sir, there can surely only be one of you.
Rest assured, as well as being unique in the wider world you have a very special place here on t2w.
Richard :)

So, we're not going to get you providing incontrovertible proof that the two premises of my earlier post are not fact. Thought not. Hot Air Howard does it (or rather, doesn’t) again.

Howard, before I say goodbye to you, by assigning you to the relatively elite and small circle of special people such as Joseff, roarson, beginnerjoe, zutou, daroth et al, I just want to let you know I’m doing it for your own good.

I am afraid that one of my posts in response to yours, might, just might get through to you, and you’d realise what a total plank you are, and then you’d have to climb that bell tower and start shooting at people. I can’t take that responsibility. You really are everything that’s bad about American gun laws. Give a man with a small pen!s and low self-esteem a gun (don’t forget the BUG, you don’t want to get caught short!) and you invite an out of proportion response to potentially every situation. I get a sense it would be as impossible to have this conversation with in person as it has been on-line. But at least on-line I don’t stand the risk of you flipping, pulling your concealed carry and popping a cap in my ass. That people with obvious psychological issues such as you are allowed to carry firearms – concealed or not, is quite incredible.

I’m going to pop you on that special category after I’ve posted this so I’ll not catch any response you may choose to make, but don’t let that stop you responding anyway as I know your ego has needs that must be fed. Constantly. Or, you could just try and slink off without responding on the basis you know when you’re beat. Either way, I’ll leave it up to you (or Mr. 9mm) to decide.
