Q: What is the speed of darkness?

A: Almost the same as the speed of light.

I would have said 'Exactly the speed of light'. What else but darkness takes it's place when the light is removed? But that is academic anyway because light is only a small part of the electromagnetic spectrum that is visible to the human eye. There may be some creatures that have evolved eyes that can see across the entire spectrum.

That's what I first thought but I done a little digging on the tinternet and it is supposedly something like 0.00002 seconds of a difference, why that is I have no idea.

Darkness is an absence of anything. It is nothing - how can nothing have a velocity?

Darkness isn't an absence of anything nor is it nothing. That's like saying "it doesn't exist unless we can see it". We know radio frequencies exist otherwise our radio, TV and mobile phones wouldn't work. Can you see those waves?
