Head of What

On the one hand...

...it's easy to think you'll get away with abusing an illegal immigrant hotel maid...

On the other hand...

...conspiracy theorists are comparing this to the wikileaks guy

On the other hand...

...if the guy was that much potential trouble - wouldn't they just throw him off a roof?

Shame as I think he would have topped Sarkozy as head of France and with Silvio - the pair of them might have stood a chance with Merkel... :cheesy:

He is guilty as sin and they should give him a big slap and lock him up with lots of them pills see what effect it has on his pelvic thrust for more power...:whistling

The maid says that's exactly what he was saying (as she was saying "No! No! I don't want to lose my job!")

I read he gave her guarantees but she declined - precisely because she didn't know who he was.

Must confess I'd never heard of the geezer before either...

If found guilty they should let the maid chop his dick and balls off and send him home - not waste 20 years keeping him in luxury in jail at $100,000 per year.

I'd like his wife to divorce him - taking her half of his loot and the other lot dished out to women he harrassed and then thrown inside for 20 years.

Don't you think 20 years is too harsh for attempted rape?

He is worth millions

I expect he will offer a big fat bribe to get her to drop charges - beats making beds all day

Not sure if this will be possible as such a course of action has legal ramifications for both the accuser and the accused.

This is interesting.

In insurance claims for traffic accidents - even where one party is in the wrong the settlements rests on dispute resolution as quickly as possible. Not much attempt is made as to who caused the accident and punishment unless a fatality or injury occurs.

Also in this case the damage is to an individual and not to an organisation or institution. The individual should have the right not some judicial court claiming to defend and protect an individual. If an appropriate settlement is forth coming that fits the crime and accetable to the victim then that is undoubtedly a better closure to both parties.

The law is inconsistent and does not serve the individual but the lawyers who will fight the case at great cost to a media circus.

May be wrong...but I believe he has prior. If this is the case, then the wider public would not be served well if he is allowed to make deals !

One thing is for sure - the legal vultures will gorge themselves over this one.

As far as I know - one can only be trialled for one crime at a time on its own.

However, other cases may come forward in light of these revelations which would then in other countries where offence may have taken place.

But as Pat says - it'll be like Lawyers gravy picnic...

As you mention other countries Atilla and I would like to mention France in particular, where there has been a long history of sex scandal cover-ups especially by the French press. Take Mitterand for example, probably a qisling during the Nazi occupation, a scandalous sex life of mistresses and even illegitimate children. I suppose the French press have been threatened and caved in to politician's threats if they disclosed secrets of their private lives. The politicians here are now gagging the British press too with use of the Law and gentleman's agreements. Thank god for the guy that dared leak their financial thieving and exposed about half of the MPs a few years ago. No doubt they will cover themselves with new laws !!

Surely public figures should set a good example

and the press should not be so cowardly, as in France, as to let them get away with thieving, cheating, lying etc.

Besides the public will buy more papers if the salacious details are aired in public.

Nothing much else keeps a rein on them. If libelled they can always sue and prove their innocence and claim damages
