Excel format forex data

I would like to get hold of historical forex data in excel format to reasearch / backtest some trading ideas. I can get 500 days of of forex-markets.com but would like to go back further. Daily data is fine for my purposes.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you

If you suscribe to Alpari-UK demo account, you can export data from the meta trader platform.
It has data from several years, probably your best bet.

Excel will import data in any basic format (.csv, .txt etc)

I can recommand you QB-DataExporter from MT5ToolBox.com - Home

with this program you can export all data from your broker, also over 30indicators.
If you are interested you can export even your trading history
