There is no particular amount of money you must have to earn £2000 a month from Forex trading. It depends on many factors.

The main don't AFAIK is not to trade manually.

What does that mean?

One factor might be how many pips does your proven consistently profitable system return a month. If it only returns 10 pips a month on average then you need to risk £200 per pip if you only trade once a month IYSWIM!

To put it another way, the question you asked is the sort of thing spreadbetting companies love to hear...

It comes down to how much you can make %-wise each month. If it's 5%, for example, you'd need £40,000 in base capital. Realistically, though, you'd need a higher amount to account for performance fluctuations and to allow for excess profits to drive account growth.
