Hi All,

I am fairly new to the FX and am looking for someone that is willing to take a new bird under their wings so to speak... I currently trade in some of the illiquid fixed income products out there for a smaller b/d in my area, but am looking to broaden my asset class reach into the FX market from someone who has a track record of success. I am eager to learn and can put in a reasonable amount of time.

I am not looking for a "GET RICH QUICK" scam... nor am I looking for someone to feed me Buy/Sell entry and exit points... I truly would like to study and train under someone who wants to teach.

If any of you have any names / numbers... or suggestions for me, I am certainly open to hearing from you. Thank you very much...

All the best.

Check out Jacko on forexfactory.com since you're Stateside. Read through his House of Pleasure and Pain thread first.

:)

Just keep reading the first page of the thread. If you have any questions, just re-read the first page. It's all there.

ShadowNinja... have you been following Jacko's trading methods? Thanks for referencing his posts on ForexFactory... very straight forward read. I was just curious if you were using his methods and how it was working out for you? Again, I appreciate the help

Yes, it can work. The danger is in the retrace and trying to pick a bottom. His anti-hedge strategy does help.

Note that it's now on 100 pip stops to account for greater volatility. He says this on page 350 or something. :D

Thanks... If anyone else has any resources, contacts (someone that would be open to mentoring)... please let me know. Thanks

Try picking up a good book or 2 (Wiley has a number of offerings), then check out professional trader's blogs (Brett Steenbarger, Ray Barros for example)... then as you find those whom you like in terms of strategies and styles... consider their programmes. At least that's what I'm doing atm.

Have a look at the "Making Money Trading" thread. I use this strategy to trade the FX markets profitably.

I always thought that mentor is a live person, not a book or website.

Mentoring is not done by website or book. It's done by on skype/phone with screen sharing system that enables you and I to see each other screen and thus teach. It allows to mentor anyone in the world.
