Hi All,

First I want to apologise IF I have posted this in the wrong section (first time!).

Otherwise...
Can anyone recommend which currency pairs are most ideal (i.e. exhibit some-high volatility/activity) to trade for someone who is only able to trade in the evenings and weekends, as I have a full time job. I normally come home from work circa 8pm (UK time) and will be aiming to trade until 12am.

Having given the charts a quick overview it seems that EUR/GBP is fairly flat on the 15mins and 5 mins charts durung the evenings.

I would really appreciate some guidance on this as I was not able to find a topic similar to this elsewhere.

Thanks!

I suppose it depends on whether you want to scalp during that time or swing, or even position trade. If it's the latter two then you don't need much activity in the evening; just have a suitable stop.

I'm with GJ if you're thinking to day trade during that timeframe. It's generally about the worst of the day in terms of consistenly tradable volatility. If you're swing trading, though, then you're fine.

Yens can move about a bit from 6pm till 3am or the kiwi and Aussies...

Depends how many pips you want :cheesy:

Yes, I have to say that I am definitely looking to scalp. As in the long term, my plan is that once I have a few strategies which work to then trade during the more standard hours.

Thank to everyone, I will look into the suggestions. Maybe I'll even come back with what results I have as well!

Cheers
