Trading reversals?

Am i right in the assumption that trading reversals is safer than trading breakouts?

Safety has nothing to do with the formations you trade and everything to do with the risks you expose yourself to. A higher percentage of winning trades (which I think is what you're implying) does equate to increased safety.

Thanks for the reply Rhody, your right i was implying that when i trade reversals i have a much greater winning percentage than when trading breakouts. As the market can experience a strong trend without a reversal for a long period of time, it can be quite a while before a setup that i like appears. I guess i want to be able to trade whatever the market conditions are like.
