Thread for tick pin bar alerts . Not to be confused with PIN BAR and time although bits stick out.

Instructions
Pull up a tick chart squish the data , say what you see , see what you say.(y)

On stanby....

GBPJPY SHORT TRIGGERED 214.90 (@ 19.25)

see if this prods further trying to sort visual on chart out to simplify /flag entry . stopwise at relative highs and lows make sense from previous signals. although I would like to see the setup cope with switching without any hard stop. like the last trade. flip flop but at same levels/better. We shall see.

previous long active in tick 2.5 hours.... :)

Heres a pic of tick

(y) Code will be 2 blues + Tick price at that time = longs. 2 reds equal short thats when the signal will bang in. previous entry dropped in short circs 11.15(215.80) am so maybe this will cope with knowing when to hold em and when to fold em...?

Primetime 5-8 Am- 5 PM uk , although tokyo session will spit out some gains. I'll be in bed most times then....... (y)

Good old rangebound at the mo traded up towards previous relative high but holding for now still showing 2 red . Just as I type 2 blue long 214.94 , I'll leave it there til AM. :)

but long it is... since this chart. go on up, up.... (y)

Wave ya hands in the air..........

At the mo 215.45/50 odd Still showing short from the 10.35 am 216.70. still short.

3.5 hours in.(y)

Looking at the tick we had that swift poke to 215.30 swiftly trading up back above 215.50 215.80 poss res. so just looking at the tick action we can imagine a possible tick nose goin in 215.50-215.30 ? still showing 3 red at the mo, just thinking outside the box. see what happens..

poss tick nose in though...... will it be on the nose...... ?

1 blue, 1 blue droppin in, price seems to have a hard on from 215.30 might be a very big nose or a HOOTER setup flyin in. Standy, order to go on 2 blue, 2 blue.

Sorry mate but you've completely lost me. Is this a continuation from a previous thread or something?

Rampant tick, urgent to buy it or sell it.. ?

(y)nothin to do except observe and wait at the mo, 216.20 might ease towards 215.80/60 poss anticipate 2 blue entry zone there. we shall see. (y)

tick pins, right think of the price action of how a pin is formed, now pull up a tick chart. Go huntin.
Red/blue is a visual to help flag price change/rejections etc which may indicate a tick pin nose going in.. charts are vt trader, but the latest release has a glitch on, they are updating for Vista.... always bugs when they ugrade.. (fix out in a couple of days, ive reverted back to prior Version)

thick on tick.

Well that long got spanked, reverse came in at 215.65 ... too slow in and out. already resolved it for sharper turns without buggering setups. Current long from 215.82 but sadly vt trader says trader server unavailable so no charts ...(n)

(y)

Good news instead of going on 2 its now go on 3. thing with using tick charts every time they close the data only loads 5000 ticks and not sure if they all load at once as some of the indi's take a couple hundred to grind into action...... still pretty funky and a good spanking market to see how it keeps up or doesnt..

...think of the price action of how a pin is formed

Like it. Price is a flow and what it does at important places is what matters. Price has absolutely no idea what an hour or a minute is. Twiddle the clock and you can make pins pop up all over the shop or disappear them if you prefer.

Thanks to TUNE for alerting me to this thread. I did pop in initially, but thought CB was doing mushrooms again...

However, absolutely on track with what I've been mumbling about the last few weeks.

Ticks man, they're all over the place, look different when they're not in their boxes don't they?

Who do you think you are David Bailey ??

What also poppoed into my head was this...

Pixels/resolution the greater the pixel the ? looking at the picture close up is it better to have greater pixels or less? If using less pixels then yes it does require you to have to? step back to see less of the same.

Who do you think you are David Bailey ?? And lets face it even Lord Litchfield has gone digital and phtoshop7's all his work these days. (dear ohh dear) :D

There was a thread (article) about daytrading /timeframes it said something like the smaller the TF the smaller the profits, suggesting if one used a fat hourly then more money. Worth a query on that maybe. <being polite>

Pixels/resolution something to think about whilst handling the old Olympus OM2 (y)
