As cable becomes less appealing and less exciting, one must diversify more in currency trading and have a larger portfolio. Whilst having a butchers about today through the pairs I came across one I wish I had (and should have) seen before...

Anyhow, thought it would be good to have a thread for any pair that makes some outstanding moves and is worth keeping an eye on... so if you spot one, post it here!

Today we have GBP / NZD... or you could have equally had GBP / AUD... in fact anything Australasian would have been sweet this week!

For weeks now the canadian dollar has been strengthening quite nicely, check out EURO/CAD, USD/CAD and CAD/JPY pairs.

no schitt!

I have a system to capture these moves - it's called the hindsight trading method - now, if i can just find a broker with last week's prices?

:) - that would be good!

But with more pairs around than anyone can shake a stick at, it must surely be a good thing to be aware of as many suitable alternatives (if any) as possible  .

Seems that FX is a bit like individual equities.

So much to choose from, yet where do you start?

I have alerts set up for 50+ pairs for when certain criteria are met and then I can pick and choose which to take (with the exception of cable which is a given). Using the 'wasp' strat as it were.

When there are the markets there, why limit yourself and i kick myself now for missing that NZD move but hey. It struck me as strange when you screen 100's of stocks through one platform, you should be able to do the same for FX and why not.

If interested, look at

http://www.moneyrain.org/
http://www.saxobank.com/

Moneyrain is metatrader with +150 and saxo provides for +160 pairs.

Anyhow, this thread is for highlighting the best movers of the day/week for mild entertainment and to raise awareness, and the latest I have been watching is.......

EUR/MXN > not the smoothest of moves but a nice move regardless for such a short period of time (4hr chart).

Hi wasp,
Might I ask what your criteria are?

As far as interesting pairs are concerned, have a look at USDCNY on a daily chart. It's a one-way bet at the moment!

I could tell ya, but I'd have to kill you...!

But seriously, look in my journal, just the simple HMA X setups.

USDCNY would have been a lovely catch :D

mmm, yep, usdchf......im long, and pips away from a loss there. but will reenter at the right price if the loss is taken.

and the loss has been taken. will reasess and reenter during the week. this pair has a potential 900 pips on offer on a longer term trade.
