How much needed to swing trade forex?

Hi all,

I was wondering what the consensus would be on a good starting captial base to swing trade forex would be?

I'm looking at trading the EUR/USD and the AUD/USD to begin with. Looking to hold positions from overnight up to a week or two at most. I'm going to start with one mini lot and after being successful for a time with 1 I will go with 2 and so on until I'm trading with a full sized lot.

So how much do you think I should realistically look at having before starting out for this kind of trading?

Any sum will do with sound money management, it also depends on how much you are expecting to earn.

4%-5% of your account for swing trading. (I am not an expert, only demo trading)
