Part of my question relates to the time of day that Open and Close figures are based on, for the formation of bar/candle charts. I fully understand the 24hr designation of Forex but to provide information such as OHLC what time of day, for the purpose of bar/candle charts, is deemed to be the Open and Close. Maybe its Midnight to Midnight, I don`t know, hence the query.

Ok - All of the charts I'm familiar with use 2200 London as the start of the new trading day. Open/Close/High/Low stats for the day are calculated at that time, interest is updated if you're holding open positions and a new bar is started on the daily chart. That being said, if you're interested and awake for the Asian session, 0900 Tokyo is where the action is.
