I have a few trading systems for FX trading. I live in Bangkok and suppose I could employ a Thai person to execute my trades but I don t want to do that yet as I would like to get more confidence that my system works consistently overtime.

I currently have an account with CMS FX who have a program you download which is not webbased.. The problem with automating their system to open and close trades at certain prices is that the system can disconnect meaning you either don t get into a trade or don t get out when you want

SO the question is do any of you know a good web based application which does nt depend on the LAN connection ,and can open and close postions at certain prices?

The other thing I am confused about is orders. Can I open and close positions using limit and stop orders.

EG I want to open a postion with the £/yen at 195.90 and close it at 196.30, with the stop at 60 below the open.

Sorry about all the questions but I suppose that is the beauty of forums.

I'm not sure if they have the same problem, if anything has to be transfered over the internet then you will always have the issue of connection stability to worry about. The only way to completely get rid of that problem would be, as you say, to hire someone.

If your system is automated, the thing to do is to have it parked and running on the broker's server - so if you line goes down, your trades still get executed.

A google search for : "automated trading" parked server

turns up a lot of entries for strategy runner. I don't know anything about this system, but it's a place to start.
