Automated Trading

Hi I have a question for the more experienced traders.

I have been trading spot currencies with refco for some time now and would like to try automated trading as i have a full time job. Can anyone point me in the right direction on how to get started and guide me on the software/ brokers i will need for this and the approximate cost.

A question similar to this, do you know of any facilities to trade from a mobile. I know cityindex offer it but their forex spreads aren't great. I too work fulltime and can't really place spread bets online as I work for a financial services organisation.

I don't trade big size and trade once a day on average, so spread betting suits me as I look for 50+ pips?

I have traded fully automated systems through Tradestation for some time.
It is not ideal but much easier to implement than on many other platforms. I have not had too many problems but it is a learnign process.
I hear the new pats systems front end will allow you to implement systems based on historical data, tey have integrated a charting package and quant system into it. Going to take a look at it at FOW at Barbican next week.

You could use IB and get some software specially written to autotrade spot or futures. There are some people on this forum that might do the programming, for a fee.
