hello,

I'm looking for informations about "managed accounts".
A lot of brokers propose this kind of service but it's very difficult to compare.
have you got information about performance, risks and so on?

Thank you

I know somebody that works for a company who manages accounts. One of their accounts that started at $30,000, now is at an (un)impressive £12,000. It would have been lower but they very kindly waived their commission in this instance.

Managed accounts ....... always difficult to find the right person.

There is one person I know who is very good. You cant go wrong with him.

But im afraid min investment is $30,000. :cheesy:

Unless you just want to follow this hot shot, U can ask him politely.

LoL, I just got a PM from someone asking me.

Ok for you all email [email protected]

Enjoy the profits :cheesy:

Take care when you are handing your account to someone else to manage!

The fund manager will be managing several accounts and he will share in profits but ofcourse will not share loss. He can simply trade 2 accounts in opposite directions! One of them will make high return and the manager will share in this return..the other account will show loss...

Notice on TwoWayFutures site there is a line that says
"As of March 2005, the returns on our recommended accounts have been up to 480% p.a."
Is it any surprise that those particular accounts are recommended. I wonder if they were recommended before they made those returns. At 480% compounded on 20,000 you will be worth 2 mil in 4 years and 27bil in 10. Good job it's so easy making money, I thought only Alan Greenspan could do it that well.

For anybody who claims they can manage your money you must ask to see results across ALL managed accounts after costs have been deducted. Same goes for anybody who you are about to let lose with your hard earned money. They are not doing it because they are nice and want to make you rich, they are doing it to suck out as much money from your account as they can whether it is in profit or LOSS. Make sure you see results of individual accounts of the size you are investing because sometimes small accounts miss out on a lot of trades due to lack of margin and can suffer as a result vs. larger accounts.
Sure there are many people out there who can make a return for you but far more will wipe you out while making sure a good slice of the pie goes into their pocket.

Managed accounts = paying someone else to lose money instead of you :)

Have a look at http://www.twowayfutures.co.uk/managedfutures.html
there account is up 480% and they are FSA regulated.

Also check out http://www.collective2.com they have over 400 verified systems

Just a quick note of caution re: collective2 -although you're right in that the creator of the site says each trade is checked/verified he also advised me that most of the 400+ systems listed on his site were rubbish!! I have been monitoring this site and another called worldcupadvisor.com which uses a similar ranking method of trading systems. What you find is that there is a constant change of postion in the top 5 systems and i have yet to see ANY new system last much longer than a few months in the top 5 before it has a catastrophic loss! To be fair there are perhaps 2-3 on collective 2 which have about a years good results but the risk are still high with huge drawdowns. I tried one to my shame called Netpicks forex on worldcupadvisor.com and it had 22 straight losses in 2 days losing $5K!! -so beware!!

Is this the same Netpicks?

http://www.forexheaven.com/netpicks-forex-trading.html

"NetPicks offer a tried and tested mechanical trading system that makes money. Like all mechanical systems, it will see some drawdown, but this is relatively small, and can easily be balanced out by trading multiple pairs. A two week free trial shows the confidence NetPicks have in their product, and it’s justified confidence. At under $200 a month for the system, this will for many be the easiest way to make money from trading."

Did your 22 losers in a row in 2 days happen during the 2 week trial?

I know nothing about forex but a link to Netpicks jumps out at me every time I close a program I use down, and the name rang a bell.

Hi,
EproFx has teamed up with TeamForex VORTEX signals offering managed accounts from as little as $2k.
A board has been set up especially for questions at www.fx-review.com, under folder "New Provider in Town".

VORTEX has averaged 20.7% per month at 5:1 leverage since inception in February.

Regards
Greg

Yes but now it seems to have gone down ? Has it lost a lot recently ?
Someone says it lost 50% in the last weeks ?

Remember everyone the golden rule when it comes the finding the best managed account -

The best managed account is always the one that loses you the least.........
