Anyone know anything about their reputation.
I'm thinking of moving away from SB to CFD.
I've played with their stimulator demo acct. for a few days and am up. (yes, I have given it my full & undivided(ish) attention.
I like the fact that spreads are tighter and execution is faster plus tighter stops. The thoughts of those older and wiser would be much appreciated.

hmm i think its the yank example of a spread bet firm, the spreads when i looked at forex seemed about 5 pips, plus they charge a realistic commission (their term) which equates to 2 pips round turn per contract, cant see any advantage maybe im missing something... I did fire multiple orders trying out the demo but the robot was slow to respond trades popping up 30 seconds after, you had the thought, hmmm must of been bumped off somewhere in cyberspace..... then the order would appear, after you have been trying to put other orders on and dismissing the first.. scary..... maybe ok for longer timeframe trading, not for this second/price counts timeframes.

just my experience with it.... trading comp might be worth a doing whilst paper trading, encourages over large positions to win the comp. some guys turn 50k over 600k /1,000,000 in the 20 day trading period. held everymonth. they say they give a prize for sensible trading though.. all good fun i expect..
they have a forum section maybe try to speak to a regular user of them there, seems unpopulated mostly though..

best wishes
jsd.

older maybe, Wiser ? Know it is not claimed.

Don't I just know it. I've got the PC under the blankets now.

Thanks for responses.
It does appear very much like a SB firm but I find the spread on euro/dollar to be 3. I've only had noticeable delay once and am getting the right price fills, working on 1hour and 10 min charts mainly.
I'm only playing with 1 lot deals in spite of the $10K imaginary account and it does seem cheaper to bail out of a dodgy position.
One thing I've noticed is that the IE browser treats their trading platform as a pop-up, whereas the BTYAHOO browser accepts it quite hapily.

I shall slope off now to exhaust myself in more research, for many years, until I become a guru and as such can insist that mine is the only way
