Using spread as an indicator?

I think that, if my dealer protects himself from too much risk by temporarily raising the spread, I should consider that the pair is also too risky for me.

Do you think that this is a sound logic to follow :?:

What more could we conclude from spread monitoring to complement our trading strategy :?:
