trading forex between 5am to 9pm

Hello,

I am looking to trade forex (gbp/usd) between the hours of 5 am to 9 pm, where is the best place to get prices with the smallest spreads. I only want to trade intra-day so that their are no extra costs ie interest on positions held overnight. spread betting companies have spreads of 3 to 5 pips, I would prefer if the spread was only 1 to 2 pips. Does anyone know of a company offering this service.

Hello Breadman.

The times you have quoted are the best to trade in my opinion.
Trading Forex futures will give you the desired spread of 1-2 pips. You may want to speak to Johnny T about that as he trades futures on a regular basis.
If you want to trade spot then i would recommend http://www.ac-markets.com/ .
They have 3 pip spread on all majors.

Yikes with the thread necromancy.

Also, if you're doing intraday, ECN (so, not Oanda) is your ideal solution. I use Interactive Brokers; you can get spreads down to 0.5 pips at times, and can trade inside the spread, but you do pay (a small) commission per trade. Costs me about £4/$8 to do a roundturn of 100,000 GBP/USD, for example.

Go to Forex.com..the 1-2 spreads is there. Its also a good place for newbies.
