It is possible to run Windows on a Mac by switching operating systems. When I was in the Mac shop in Los Angeles , the assistant showed me how it was done. I was gobsmacked - they are awesome machines and wish I had one. You should be able to contact Apple to find out how it is done. Paralells Desktop will also let you run Windows on a Mac but I would contact Apple first. Good Luck. |

VMWare Fusion is what I use to accomplish Windows on Mac. There is also a free alternative from Sun, visit here: VirtualBox l Open Source Virtualization l Open Source Software l Sun xVM It's a bit flakey though, Fusion is better. =) |

i use macs to trade. it is the best setup any trader could ever have. i run parallels on my macs which is virtualization software and this enables me to run windows on the mac. people often laugh and ask why dont i just run windows on normal computers. there are 2 answers to this question. the first and most important is i never ever have downtime. a virus can try bring one of my virtual windows instances down but it takes me 10 seconds to restore my machine from a backup snapshot. thats less downtime than it takes to make a cup of coffee.. i challenge anyone who laughs at me beat that secondly window runs so quickly that you dont even know your running on a host operating system. in fact i have beaten my wifes dual core laptop booting up just windows whith me booting up both mac and windows.. as far as trading on the mac goes well we can all wish cant we |
