Hi, I'm being driven mad trying to find a forex broker to trust with my money. I read forums and they either contadict each other or just rant...

Not rich enough to go with dbfx, looking at saxo trader but even then have read bad/good things...

Anyone using a forex broker (for sometime) that they can recommend?

I'm small time (10,000 gbp) and will be looking to trade fx spot with limit orders on one standard lot at a time - any ideas/advice?

Thanks

Hi Holly,

Why not trade the futures as they closely follow each other within a few pips
anyway. The argument between Spot and futures goes on and on but you can
trade the futures for $500 per contract on GB 6E and it probably works out at
about £4 per pip or less. Im trading with Amp futures using the Ninjatrader
platform which is really good. You can get a demo for as long as you like
to get used to it before you go live.

Thanks Ged,

I have been looking at Ninjatrader and futures and am still in two minds which would be best to trade - like the idea of fx spot as I think its better if you can catch long running trends (no contract expiry) but you make a valid point - thanks for the reply!

Holly,

Dont know how long you traded for but when i first started and i believe me i aint
the best, i was always worried whether ny trade was right or whether i was getting
f$cked over by the SB companies. Never traded spot so cant say much about them.

I trade futures now and if im wrong i know the market took me out and that my
trading was wrong. 1 less problem i have to worry about.

Also if you use 233 and 512 tick charts on futures it smooths out the trends a bit
more than using time based charts. Have a look on NT and you'll see what i mean.

Hi Holly - try Hirose....Hirose Financial UK Ltd. they are a new outfit but backed by Japan broker that is well known out there. Also they are FSA regulated so you have some protection. Looks like they go down to micro lots which is good for checking the platform out. FXCM, Alpari FXPro are others you could have a look at - in fact there is quite a big list but would recommend one with regulatory backing.

Good luck
